Crimeprevention strategy

Thisstrategy document has four aspects which aim at providing acollaborative model between different members of the community. Thestrategy entails four aspects of crime prevention which areenforcement and crime suppression, community engagement and liaison,community mobilization and crime prevention, as well as communitysafety and consultation (Palmiotto 24).

Majoractivities envisioned in this program are:

Crimeanalysis, initiation of a problem solving model, initiate publiceducation campaign, engage all the leaders in the society,mobilization of all partners, monitoring of high risk groups andprovide early intervention models.

Problemsolving and crime prevention program

Thepolice force will carry out coordination between government agencies,insurance companies and the residents to address the issue of roadaccident. The strategy will also include a program that will scan andaddress crimes. Using this model, the program will address programssuch as damage to property, vehicle thefts, social disorders, riots,drug trafficking and human trafficking among others.

Muchfocus will be placed in the community engagement between thenon-profit communities, private and public companies.

Coordinationbetween parents and the police will enable the community deal withthe problem of teenage truancy and juvenile delinquency. Under thisstrategy parents will work together with the parents in order to comeup with proper punishment protocols.

Thepolice will mount a campaign which aims at providing education forthe citizens in order to make the residential environment less proneto crime. This campaign will involve the use of educational pamphletswhich will provide information on the how to reduce burglary(Palmiato 33). The police will also develop a program which willaddress the problem of driving under the influence. This will involvethe training of bar attendants on the assessment of levels ofdrunkenness. In addition, there will be direct lines of communicationbetween local bar owners and the police. The police will also devisea pedestrian safety program reduce the problem of knocking offpedestrians.
