Transformationalleadershipispeggedon fundamentalprinciplesof sharedvision,leadershipandcontinuousimprovementof individual.Thesocialinteractionbetween a leaderandsubjectsdefinesleadershipandsuccessof lawsformulatedto regulatevariousactivities.At everylevel of governmentleadershipis importantandtransformational leadershipevenmoreimportant.Manyorganizationshaveadvancedinto competitivemodels,buildingstressamong variousdepartmentsandhindering smoothperformanceof dutiesanddelegationof functions.Dueto lackof leaderswhohavethepowerto steerdepartmentsandorganizationsin therightdirectiontheendresultsis an organizationthat has draftedlawsthat are dysfunctional (Hugheset al, 2014).

Inmostdemocraticsystemgovernmentbudgetsandplansare meticulously laidout by membersof thelocalgovernmentandstaffsin variousdepartments.Themaindutyof a leaderis to executetheseplanswith theresourcesprovidedin thebudget(Robert, 2011). Whenleadersbeginimplementingvariousgovernmentplansat thelocalleveltheyrealizethatitwill importantto initiatevariousrulesandlawsto performtheir dutiessuccessfullyandfulfilltheir mandate.To be in a positionto successfullyinitiatelawsandgetapprovalof legislators,leadersneedto realizethattheyhaveto findwaysto inventchange.

Transformationalleadersare ableto createtrustin their followersandtheattainability of their objectivesthrough creatingan imageof apparentlyof unwaveringconfidence,willpower, moralconvictionandunconventionalbehavior.Suchleadersare professedto haveextraordinaryabilitiesandinsightandbehaveina waythat is inharmonywith theestablishedvaluesandvision.Theybuildtrustby displayingcommitmentto theneedsof thesocietyover their personalgoals.(Hugheset al, 2014).

Charismais a centralcomponentof transformational leaders.Thisis becausea transformational leadercan executea convincingmissionandvisionforthefutureof thefollowers.Therapportconnectingtheleaderandthefollowersassisttheleaderto fulfilltheneedsof thesociety.Thisis onlypossiblethrough formulation of lawsthat supporttheagendaof theleaderbutisin thebestinterestof thewholesociety(Robert,2011). Becausetransformational leadersendeavorto transformthesocietyandinstitutionsin thepoliticalframework,their workis opposedby manypeopleas there are supporters.Complacencyby thesocietyhas alwaysbeena problemwhena leadertriesto initiateprogramsmeantto changetheinstitutionsin thesociety.Followersmay misconstruesuchchangesas beendrivenby personalambitionsandindividualglory,anda transformational leaderhas thegargantuantaskof convincingallandsundrythattheir visionis to improvethewaythatgovernmentservicesare renderedto thepublic.

PersonalizedLeadership

Akeyingredientof transformational leadershipis thepersonalnatureof a leader’spower.To be ableto initiateplansto formulatelawsto achievetheleader’sobjectives,theleadersshould buildstrongindividualtieswith thefollowers.Thisempowersthefollowersby givingthem responsibilitiesthat increasetheir confidenceandtrustto theleader.Oncea leadergainsthetrustof thefollowers,itbecomeseasyto initiateprogramsandformulatelegislations(Hugheset al, 2014). Theleadergetsan avenueto raisetheinterestof thesubjectsandofferintellectualstimulation. Transformationalleadersare a leaderwhoinspiresinspiration,andintellectualstimulation to thefollowers,projectsa missionandvision,andis charismatic anda leader whoconsidersthewelfareof thesociety.Charismaentailsselfconfidenceandpersonalitythat can significantly influencethethinkingandactionof thefollowers.Assucha transformational leadercanarticulatehis agendaandtheir visionof thefuturethat playsa partin alteringthecurrentstatusquo (Kest, 2013). Aleaderis,therefore, ableto viewtheir visionas morallycorrectandhavetremendouscouragein their thinkingandabilities.Thisis crucialin theprocessof lawmakingsince thefollowerswillhavetrustandconfidencein a leaderoozes confidenceanddispels uncertainties.Votersexpecttheir leadersat thelocallevel to be ableto communicateeffectively.

Transformationalleaders endeavor to fabricate an ambiance of excellence and as suchthey encourage everyone to have a personal understanding of themerits and demerits of every situation. The leader lets everyoneshare in their vision, allows followers to do what he or she can andin the best way they can in order to achieve the aspired goal. Lawsprovide the framework through which all government activities arecarried out and a transformational leader will use their skills toacquire support from followers to execute changes that they believeare necessary for the society. Political leaders are in a position touse their power to execute the changes in their communities, all whatthey require is political will and personal drive and desire toinitiate policies and programs that will go a long way in helping thesociety to move forward.
